VBC obtains its high-density plastic from Shenzhen, China, and transports it by ocean carrier as LCL through the port of Hai Phong before being transported by intermodal rail to VBC in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The standard shipping lead time is seven days, but VBC may require their product to be expedited sooner. VBC pays for freight from the supplier, with two shipping options available to meet their production requirements.
For products shipped standard DDP destination, the supplier is responsible for all insurance costs, freight charges, import and/or export fees, duties, demurrage, taxes, and so on incurred on each shipment, and title and risk of loss remain with the Supplier until delivery. If/when VBC arranges for the transport of materials from Supplier’s factory, EXW Shipping Point, title, risk of loss, and freight charges shall become VBC’s responsibility.
Expedited shipping is defined as 2-Day or Next Day delivery from the Supplier to the Destination and is EXW Shipping Point from the Supplier to the Destination. VBC is in charge of all shipping arrangements. Title and risk of loss to such Product shall pass to VBC at the time of delivery/transfer from the Supplier to the common carrier. This logistic option has its effects on VBC. The duration the shipment takes from the supplier to the company is long which might cause a delay in the market.
