Using Teddy Talk For As a Conflict Management
We can improve our conflict management skills by listening to teddy talks which is a method that involves storytelling, entertainment, and education to solve particular problems emanating from the interpersonal relationship in the home and as well in organizations (Rachel et al. 575). Looking at the following Teddy talk will enable us to improve our skills in conflict management within different spheres of life. Dorothy walker is our case study who says that the energies and emotions of individuals are very contagious, which we share with different people within different systems. She tries to explain these and call it energy transference. She gives the following steps for the improvement of conflict resolution management.
- Preparation is very important when faced with a situation or a conflict. She advises not to jump into concluding a lot of emotions. It is good to plan ahead when emotions are down so that conversation can be more productive.
- Adapting and moving forward is another way to manage interpersonal conflict, and it involves listening, observing, and asking questions to diffuse tension and allow the productive conversation to take place and focus on new ideas rather than a fixed point of view.
- Make an agreement. This can be achieved when everything is neutral and come to a consensus, and agree two come up with a future plan of action.
