Tangible and Intangible Assets
Siemens products and services are both tangible and intangible. Tangible goods are goods that are in physical form. For example, computers are physical objects of tangible components that facilitate work (Hutt & Speh 2021). The tangible goods at Siemens are electrical installation systems, home appliances, and switch and socket systems (Siemens, 2021). Intangible goods are goods that are not in physical form. Siemens offers rail electrification and road traffic technology (Siemens, 2021). They are intangible assets because they are not in physical form. The company gives Siemens Financial Services, which offers consumers and other companies financial solutions (Siemens, 2021). Financial services are intangible assets at Siemens because they are not in physical form.
