Meng Wanzhou Incident
Abstract
In the year two thousand and eighteen, telecommunication companies from China were obstructed from tendering necessary communication contracts in a vast range of the nations from the west. The reason was because most of the western nations were receiving threats on their national security. The then private company Huawei establisher Ren Zhengfei could be seen as the potential spy since he was close to the heart of the Chinese government. Huawei was however established in nineteen eighty seven and the aim was to provide telecommunication equipment globally. However globalization becomes difficult and twisted when a nation is not associated with its importance. New discoveries on technology and education has greatly impacted globalization in the developing countries, but as for the developed ones, it’s all they need-globalization. Lawfully, the Huawei Company has taken a move to sue the United States for in-fragmenting its access to the market, but the question on the freeness of trade between the two countries has been raised. Consequently, on the circumstances surrounding free trade in China and the United States, there is a potential eruption of trade war between the named countries. Moreover the arrest of Huawei’s Meng Wanzhou was connected to the trade wall incident depicted earlier. Ironically her arrest happened when both China and the United States presidents, Xi and Trump, respectively were in a summit in Argentina trying to de-escalate the already growing tensions on trade and conflict.
