Sales before the Super bowl commercials must have been down as the majority of those who took the survey said they gained interest in Doritos after the first commercial was aired back in the year 1965. Prior to which they had not tried the Doritos. The much younger generation stated that they changed their preference of chips after watching Dorito’s commercials which made them curios and that this was how they got hooked to eating Doritos.
The content analysis also revealed that more interactions between the companies were made after the super Bowl commercials meaning that the commercials really helped to create more awareness for the brand and consequently increase sales.
