How common is PTSD Cases
According to Kitchiner, Lewis & Roberts et al 2019 Posttraumatic stress disorders about 3.5 % of the United States people are affected every year, and in figures this is about 5.2 million people. Also, the researcher’s states that out of eleven individuals, one of them will be diagnosed with the disease in the future or even be a victim of PTSD. The disorder can be developed by any person in any age, thus, even children may be diagnosed with PTSD. There are high chances or possibilities of females acquiring the disorder than the males, and this is contributed by the fact that most of the females usually experience many issues in their lifetime, e.g., domestic violence, rape, and emotional abuse.
