Introduction.
A student whose intellectual capacity is higher than other peers is referred to as a talented student. Students may feel that whatever is being taught in the syllabus is too easy for them or even boring since they already comprehend whatever is being taught in class. These students are sometimes placed in programs that teach them subjects and content ahead of their regular school curriculum (School). This is known as academic acceleration, and students good in math or any other matter sometimes go through this process.
Many schools in America do not prefer doing this to students since they are bullied when grouped with older kids (School). Therefore, talented students often lose this morale after spending time with their peers when they feel that what is being taught in class is insufficient. They could drop grades since they soon stop paying attention to this content they already know. Talented students should be encouraged to attend symposiums and workshops meant for adults. Their gifted minds tend to learn information faster than their peers; therefore, they would cope better in an advanced class.
Conclusion.
Even though they may seem younger, they are brighter than you think, and they might be on their way to making a medical or scientific discovery. They should be given chances to interact with scholars and teach their peers in class and home. Therefore, talented students should accelerate their learning to reduce the monotony and boredom they experience. Gifted students also need positive reinforcement to keep them as sharp as possible since they tend to go back to average if they are not monitored.
